Replacing Brother MFC-9430CDW Toner Cartridges
Replacing the Brother MFC 9430CDW toner cartridges is a very important part of printing successfully. A bad installation can cause problems that go from bad printing quality to damaging the toner cartridges or other printer parts.
Here are some easy steps that you can use to remove the used toner cartridges and install the new ones without damaging your printer or your toner.
Before start replacing the toner cartridges keep in mind the following safety recommendations:
- - Do not burn or throw used toner cartridges into open flames, as this may cause a fire
- - If toner gets onto your hands or clothing, wash it off immediately with cold water. Do not use warm water as this may set the toner permanently, and you may not be able to remove the toner stains
Step 1: Turn the printer on and open the top cover.
Step 2: Take out the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly for the color that needs replacement.
Step 3: Push the green lock lever down and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
Step 4: Unpack the new toner cartridge, and gently shake it from side to side to distribute the toner evenly.
Step 5: Pull off the protective cover from the new toner cartridge.
Step 6: Put the new toner cartridge into the drum unit until it locks into place. The green lock lever should should lift automatically.
Step 7: In the drum unit, gently slide the green tab from left to right and right to left several times, in order to clean the corona wire.
Step 8: Insert the new toner cartridge and drum unit into the machine.
Step 9: Finally, close the top cover.
