Replacing Brother MFC-L8600CDW Toner Cartridges
Replacing the Brother MFC L8600CDW toner cartridges is a very important part of printing successfully. A bad installation can cause problems that go from bad printing quality to damaging the toner cartridges or other printer parts.
Here are some easy steps that you can use to remove the used toner cartridges and install the new ones without damaging your printer or your toner.
Before start replacing the toner cartridges keep in mind the following safety recommendations:
- - Do not burn or throw used toner cartridges into open flames, as this may cause a fire
- - If toner gets onto your hands or clothing, wash it off immediately with cold water. Do not use warm water as this may set the toner permanently, and you may not be able to remove the toner stains
Step 1: Turn the printer on and open the front cover by pressing the release button.
Step 2: Using the blue handle, pull the drum unit out until it stops.
Step 3: Hold the handle of the toner cartridge you want to replace and push it forward the machine to unlock it. Then pull it out.
Step 4: Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the blue tab from side to side several times.
Step 5: Take the new cartridge out of the box and remove the protective cover.
Step 6: Grab the new toner cartridge using the handle and insert it into the printer. Pull it toward you until it locks into place.
Step 7: Push the drum unit in until it stops.
Step 8: Close the printer's front cover.
