Replacing Ricoh 1060 toner cartridges

Replacing the Ricoh 1060 toner cartridges is a very important part of printing successfully. A bad installation can cause problems that go from bad printing quality to damaging the toner cartridges or other printer parts.
Here are some easy steps that you can use to remove used toner cartridges and install new ones without damaging your printer or your Ricoh 1060 toner cartridges.

Before start replacing the toner cartridges keep in mind the following safety recommendations:

CAUTION:

• - Do not burn or throw used toner cartridges into open flames, as this may cause a fire
• - If toner gets onto your hands or clothing, wash it off immediately with cold water. Do not use warm water as this may set the toner permanently, and you may not be able to remove the toner stains

Removing the used Ricoh 1060 toner cartridges

1. Open the front cover of the machine.

2. Pull out the lever under the Ricoh 1060 toner bottle toward you 90º.

3. Raise the green lever, and then gently pull out the Ricoh Aficio 1060 toner bottle.

Installing the new Ricoh Aficio 1060 toner cartridge

4. Hold the new Ricoh 1060 toner bottle horizontally, and then shake it five or six times without removing the outer cap.

5. Remove the outer cap.

CAUTION: Do not remove the inner cap.

6. Place the Ricoh 1060 toner bottle in position, then push it in until the green lever clicks.

CAUTION: If you cannot get it to click in, pull out the Ricoh Aficio 1060 toner bottle a little, slightly rotate it to the right by 10 - 20º, then try again.

7. Return the lever under the Ricoh Aficio 1060 toner bottle to its original position.

8. Close the front cover of the machine.
