Q: I’ve just replace my cyan xerox 6280 toner cartridge but the printer is not recognizing it, it keeps saying ‘check cyan’. How can I fix this issue?

A: There are a couple of things that you should try, first of all take the cartridge out of the printer and shake it gently. Be careful not to spill any toner. If after installing the cartridge again, the message keeps on, take the cartridge out again and clean all the connectors of the cyan cartridge with alcohol or using a low pressure air compressor, remove all the toner powder or dust inside of the printer.

Q: I need to replace the transfer roller on my Xerox Phaser 6280 printer. But I can’t find this part anywhere. Are they still manufacturing these parts, or should I buy a new printer?

A: Probably the reason why you are not finding this part is because you are looking for it in the wrong way. The transfer roller is actually part of the transfer unit, which includes the transfer belt and roller. The part number is #675K47088. I hope you can find it!

Q: My printer is saying ‘load tray 2’, I have just filled it but the message keeps coming. I’ve turned the printer on and off but nothing seems to fix the problem. Any thoughts?
